PUBLIC NOTICES
All batteries (batteries only) can now go to the Transfer Station. We have a special spot specific for batteries, look for the sign. E-Waste still goes to the Highway Dept, but take the battery to the Transfer Station first, we appreciate your help avoiding battery fires.
Has Moved.......Bring to the Transfer Station during normal open hours, at the special oil recycle station. DO NOT DROP OFF. To recycle used oil you will see an attendant, who will verify it is not contaminated while you wait, and can be accepted. If it is contaminated, you will need to take it back and dispose of it at one of the Hazardous Household Waste Days (see 2026 HHWD schedule on Transfer Station page). This collection is for our DIY users oil recycling needs only, we cannot accept any business used oil.
In order to use these facilities a Transfer Station sticker or pass is required. Please go to the Town Clerk's Office to acquire one. The permits should be visible on the lower passenger side of your front window when entering the transfer station.
